DIG completes market assessment in South Africa
DIG completed a market assessment study of housing finance for the low income sector in urban South Africa in May with Progressus Research and Development Consultancy, a South African firm. The objective of the market assessment was to generate information that will help DIG establish a baseline dataset regarding the demand for housing finance services by urban-based low income earners. The study will also assist DIG to better understand the nature of the effective and potential demand for housing finance in its multi facets among the target low income group clientele and identify the best approach and products to meet this demand. The market assessment was implemented in six different urban centers in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
