The purpose of Housing Finance for the Poor.com—the first online repository of information and tools on housing finance with a global perspective—is to expand housing finance options for the poor by uniting and advancing the community of knowledge and practice.  This site provides a wide-range of tools, research, and venues for dialogue on housing finance globally for free and open use by visitors.

The site is currently sponsored and created by the Housing Finance for the Poor Program of Development Innovations Group with funding from a major US philanthropic organization. Partners in information creation and dissemination include Habitat for Humanity International and the Consultative Group for Assisting the Poor’s Working Group on Housing Finance for the Poor.  Additional sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available.
